Tobiano Apps built the Sunny Side app for iOS. The app is free to use, with an optional paid subscription (Sunny Side Pro) that unlocks additional features. This Service is provided by Tobiano Apps and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use this app.
If you choose to use this Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including your location. The information that we request is retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way.
The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Location Data
Sunny Side stores your location on your device only. It is not used for advertising or behavioral analytics. To return UV Index data, the app sends your location to the weather data provider you have selected:
- By default, the Meteorologisk Institutt (MET Norway) API.
- If you subscribe to Sunny Side Pro and choose it, Apple Weather (powered by Apple WeatherKit).
Looking up a place by name uses the Google Places service, and determining your current position uses Apple’s location services. Both may receive some of your data in order to perform that function. Please refer to the providers’ privacy policies linked above to learn more. Sunny Side requests location access only while you are using the app.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Sunny Side Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. To manage your subscription and entitlements across devices, we use RevenueCat, which receives a pseudonymous, app-generated identifier and your subscription status. We do not use this information to identify you personally.
Crash & Stability Monitoring
To keep the app reliable, Sunny Side uses Sentry for anonymous crash and stability monitoring. When the app hits an error or crash, Sentry receives diagnostic information — such as the error, the app version, and device and operating-system details — so we can find and fix problems. This is the only monitoring in the app: there is no advertising, no behavioral analytics, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites, and the data is not used to identify you personally.
Log Data
We do not collect log data ourselves. However, in the case of an error in the app, Apple and other third-party platforms (such as the App Store) may collect data and information on your device. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing this Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties may have access to limited Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
